About

I’m a psychotherapist (LICSW) in Western Massachusetts with more than 25 years of experience. I specialize in psychotherapy for adults, adolescents, couples and families.

Additionally, I am an end-of-life doula and consultant. I received my end-of-life doula training from the International End-of-Life Doula Association (INELDA). I obtained post-graduate certification in Palliative and End-of-Life Care from Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts. I am also a hospice volunteer and a volunteer with Green Burial Massachusetts.

I am dedicated to providing compassionate and affirming support to individuals, couples and families through all stages of life. I work with clients of all backgrounds to address a broad range of topics, including depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship conflicts, gender/sexuality, disability/illness, and spirituality. My client-centered, collaborative, and strengths-based approach to therapy provides an atmosphere of emotional safety, where honest conversations can take place, and growth can occur.

My intention is to help clients develop self-awareness, and to recognize patterns within themselves and in their interpersonal relationships, so they can break free from unhealthy habits and expectations. I encourage clients to explore all aspects of their lives, enabling them to make empowered decisions with clear self-awareness.

Through my work as both a therapist and an end-of-life care provider I offer clients support as they examine their own mortality, facilitating conversations with loved ones around the topic of aging and end of life, and encouraging clients to empower themselves by participating in making concrete advanced plans. This thoughtful preparation can diminish potential future conflicts and help to avoid unnecessary labor for loved ones during or after loss. Many find that this existential examination helps to soothe anxieties and creates a sense of peace and acceptance regarding mortality, which helps open the door to a fulfilling and joyful life.
